Daylight Engineering
GLASSFLOOR® makes particularly efficient use of zenithal light entering from above, as well as global and diffuse radiation. As a result, depending on the building’s design, significantly more natural daylight can enter the rooms below than with conventional vertical windows.
The abundant natural light creates bright interiors with natural color rendering and a vibrant quality of light that changes depending on the time of day, season, and weather. At the same time, the floor-to-ceiling glass provides a view of the outdoors, opening up the space and promoting a sense of well-being.
Heliobus® supports your project with customized Daylight Engineering —from the initial concept through determining the number, size, and positioning of GLASSFLOOR® elements to providing technical support for construction and regulatory issues.
Upon request, we can perform daylight calculations in accordance with EN 17037, “Daylight in Buildings.” This allows for an early assessment of how natural light can be effectively integrated into the building and how daylight supply can be optimized.
