Heatable outer glass
To keep the exterior glass surface of GLASSFLOOR® clear of snow or ice, a suitable sensor control system or a corresponding building management system equipped with sensors can be used.
The control system detects adverse conditions such as low temperatures, humidity, or snowfall and automatically activates the heated glass when necessary. This allows snow to melt and clears the glass surface of snow more quickly.
This helps maintain the natural light effect even during the colder months, while enhancing the comfort, safety, and functionality of the walk-in skylight.
Not suitable for thawing very large amounts of snow, as a snow bridge can form and manual snow removal is required.
