Extra clear glass

For exceptionally clear glass, Heliobus® uses special raw materials with a low iron content. This so-called extra-clear glass allows for very high light transmission while ensuring a color-neutral, clear view.

This advantage is particularly evident in thicker glass structures, such as those used in walk-on GLASSFLOOR® skylights. While conventional glass may have a slight greenish tint depending on its thickness, extra-clear glass remains visually much more neutral and allows daylight to enter the room more naturally.

Extra-clear glass is also known by names such as white glass or low-iron glass. Depending on the manufacturer, various brand names are used, such as UltraClear, Ultrawhite, Optiwhite, Starphire, Starlite, Krystal Klear, Diamant, or Eurowhite.
